Dr. James D. McAlexander, DPM
Dr. McAlexander was born in Seattle, WA and raised in Fremont, CA. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Puget Sound, Washington in 1984 followed by a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree (DPM) at The California College of Podiatric Medicine, San Francisco, CA in 1989. He completed his residency at Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, American Lake, WA in 1989.
Dr. McAlexander first began practice at Pacific Foot & Ankle Clinic in 1990. Three years later, Dr. McAlexander established Gig Harbor Foot and Ankle Clinic, in Gig Harbor, WA. You can find Dr. McAlexander many evenings at numerous community hospitals to include St. Anthony, St. Joseph, and Tacoma General. He is currently Board Certified by both the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM) and American Professional Wound Care Association (APWCA). His specialties include podiatric medicine, podiatric sports medicine, orthotics, and cutting edge healing modalities.
In his free time he enjoys biking, hiking, playing instruments such as guitar and piano, and spending time with his wife, Susan, and their three adult children. Dr. McAlexander is a member of Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church. He ministers monthly at Manor Care Rehabilitation facility in Gig Harbor, WA.

Nancy started with Dr. McAlexander in 2007. She married her husband, Doug, and they have one daughter, Misty. When she is not working at the clinic, Nancy enjoys traveling, playing piano, riding motorcycles and spending time with her family.
Jacob Wilson - Medical Assistant
Jacob came on board in mid-2018. Jacob, born and raised in California, began his 8 year tenure with the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpman, (Fleet Marine Force). Jacob would later move to Washington state where he and his wife, Jaclyn, have two sons and two dogs. Jacob enjoys being with his family, as well as hiking and camping in the Pacific NW.
